SPECIFICATIONS
The 1956 Golden Hawk features modest tail fins. It differs from the Sky Hawk in that it uses Packard's potent 352 cubic inch V8 instead of the Studebaker 289 cubic inch V8. Golden Hawks with Automatic transmission use Packard's Twin Ultramatic while Sky Hawks use the Flightomatic by Borg Warner. And finally, the Golden Hawk is the only 1956 Hawk with fins.

The Silver Hawk was introduced for the 1957 model year. The Silver Hawk 6 coupe replaced the 1956 Flight Hawk and the Silver Hawk V8 coupe replaced the1956 Power Hawk.

The Golden Hawk of 1957 replaced the 1956 Sky Hawk and the 1956 Golden Hawk. A few 1957 Golden Hawk 400 models were produced with full leather interior, and flared arm rests, the same as were used on the 1956 Hawks.

The 1958 Hawks had tiny wings, or fins on the parking lights. These were chrome plated on the Silver Hawks, and Gold on the Golden Hawks.

1958 PACKARD HAWK

SPECIFICATIONS
The Packard Hawk of 1958 featured a broad fiberglass nose section. The radical "shovelnose"design,  coupled with the simple bumper was unique in that the car  had no grill. The rear deck lid differed from the Golden Hawk and was accented by a fake spare tire cover. Leather interior, gold mylar fins, and rather strange outside armrests separated the 1958 Packard Hawk from the Studebaker Hawks.
